Catching Up!!

Hey Guys!! I know I haven't posted in FOREVER, but I'm going to try and start blogging again! TBH I just got so busy with starting High School, and trying to keep good grades in all my classes that I just kept holding back on blogging!
So, as a recap: I started High School; Marching band season ended x( ; I have some new friends! ; I'm in all honors; and It's Almost Christmas!!!

Ok. So, now that we're caught up I can say: I missed you guys!!! I've been getting so many requests to keep writing, so I decided to quit being lazy & to write another post! I promise I'll stop procrastinating this time!
So, Story-Time!

For those of you who don't know: I really don't like the mountains. The basic reason? I'm TERRIFIED of heights! Well, this past week was my Thanksgiving Break, so my family decided to head up to Gatlinburg to see the snow and such. Well, we originally planned to go rv-camping, right? So, the night before we're set to leave, we pack ALL our gear into the RV and guess what happens? The next morning it suddenly stops working! We had to move all our stuff from Dad's RV to my Mom's car. Let's just say a four-hour trip to the mountains is a LOT less fun when you're crammed in an itty-bitty backseat with your 11 & 9 year-old brothers!

Eventually, after 2 food breaks, and more bathroom breaks than I can count: We got there. After my parents argued with the management of the Inn for what felt like eternity, we got our room. We had to get a pet-room, since my dog Honey travels with us, but that wasn't the horrible part. The room came with 2 queen beds, and a rollaway bed for 'Moi'! Problem? We had to push the 2 big beds up against each other just to have room for my bed!

After a night of rest, we woke up & had dinner at a less-than-delicious pancake place next-door. We ate there because the Inn gave us tickets that allowed us each a free set of pancakes & a free drink. After eating, we headed into the mountains. We drove around basically all day, but we also stopped to sled.

On our last day up in the mountains, we bought me my own sled! (Up until then I had to share with my little brothers) Mine was lime-green and I loved it.....until it broke.
We had been sledding for about an hour when I slid down really fast and hit a rock, causing my board to get a HUGE hole in it. At that point we all stopped sledding, (except mom who was in the car staying warm) and we started a snowball fight! It lasted about 5-10 minutes before we admitted that we were freezing & headed back to the car.

Needless to say, I had a pretty good time in the mountains, but I still haven't cured my fear of heights.

I hope you guys get caught back up on my blog & continue to read it!
Stay Beautiful,
Abbie G
